  Notes:

• I was told that William ran off after the birth of Martha but more recent information suggests he took to the stage (and the road) a few years before that.
  
• Initially I was told that William took to the stage after he left his family and went by the stage name 'Frank CASS' and that the family never heard from him again. However, Martha seems to have known his occupation, when she listed her father as an actor on her marriage in 1915 and William appears to be living with Martha and her husband in 1920.
  
• The 1901 census shows Jessie as an inmate in the Belmont Test House, young Martha was in the same place but son Simon was an inmate at St Ambrose. Jessie, the younger, appears in this same census as a domestic servant in the St John the Baptist district.
  
• William appeared with the family in the 1891 census. Ann & Peter were children suggested to me by older family members when I started looking into this line, though I have yet to find any evidence of them.

• Recently found this guy in the 1901 census, he matches William's information, including the possible stage name
