Notes:
Despite many years of looking, Joseph Adderley's origins they remain a mystery. He does not appear in the 1901 census and on his marriage certificate he claims his father is a Joseph Adderley, mariner. I have my doubts about that.
So I am left with two conclusions, either Joseph came over from, possibly Ireland, sometime between 1901 and 1904 and he is Joseph Adderley, son of a mariner also called Joseph OR he is the illegitimate child of Mary Ann Adderley.
