• 1577 - assaulted Edmond Ashe @ Hucker , A/ALU 5 , p7.
• 1578/9 - holds newly built dye house Court Roll , A/ALU 4 . ( previously held by John Standerwick in 1574 ) .
• 1578/9 - lives for lease Emma (wife) & John (son) , A/ALU 4 .
• 1579 - lease dye house in S Park Cadbury held by John before A/ALU 5 , p6 .
• 1580 - age 68 , Ham Combe St. Nicholas + 20011780 , Broadway MI 12M.
• 1581 - paid Lay Subsidy , DD/SF/3948.
• 1581 - buried Broadway MI 7M
• Extract from Broadway information booklet ; There are twelve large box-like tombstones in the old churchyard . They are constructed of the local Ham freestone . In size about three by five by three feet high . Three of these refer to Standerwick's and one is reputed to be the oldest tombstone in Somerset . ' This stone lies beside the path just west of the porch . On it's north panel it states that John Standerwick , gent. was buryed the 19th day of May Ao. Dni. 1616 . Richard Standerwick , his brother was buryed the third day of December , A.D. 1581 . John Standerwicke , clothyer was buried on the 16th day of November Ao.Dni. 1653 . On the south panel the lettering has crumbled and only the date , September 1770 remains . On the east side it states that this panel was set up by John Standerwicke , clothyer , Son of Richard the 25th day of October A.D. 1616 but the rest of the lettering has flaked off . the west panel is in memory of William Standerwick and Sarah his wife , October 1673 .

I geve to Emma Gawler my daughter in law Tenne shillinges and to her sonnes John and Richarde Standerwicke Sixe shillinges eight pence a peece And I geve to William Standerwicke sonne of the saide Emma beinge my godsonne three powndes six shillinges eight pence..... (why William Pynney names Eme as his 'Daughter-in-Law' in his will of 1595 is a mystery, there is no evidence, as yet, that Eme ever married one of the Pynney's)
• All of Eme's children received money in the will of Edmund Pynney (son of the above William Pynney) 1631
